See you ... At the Forest!

The final result secured by our team yesterday against Omonia for the Cup’s 16 leaves us satisfied. The two teams stayed at 0-0 leaving open accounts for the replay in our home. This result provides us with the opportunity to hope for qualification against one of the best teams of the competition.

Although Omonia created more chances, our team seemed prepared and did not let the opponent take advantage of the opportunities. Our team’s purpose was to keep its goalpost intact, which it managed to do even after the elimination our captain Pincelli at 84 '.

During the first half both teams had two conventional opportunities each to open the score, with ours being at 14 'with Katsarava and Kipiani at 29'. During the second half, our team

stayed focused on its plan and although Omonia had most possession of the ball, it had to face an exceptional defensive line and an excellent Bogatinov.

Our team’s defense line could not breached even after the increased pressure exerted by the opponent due to the elimination of our captain. Nothing changed during the remaining minutes and so the score remained at 0-0. The qualification will be determined at our home on the 18th of January.

Our team managed to get the desired result, which was to postpone the determination of the qualification to Dasaki where everything is possible.

Our first eleven were the following: Bogatinov, Pinceli, Kipiani (75' Enescu) Kachiarava (91' Arrabal), Chatzivasilis, Kyprianou, Filippov, Krachunov, Dovbnya, Zelaya (60 'Iluridze).
