Although our team did not manage to leave with any points from the AEK Arena, we cannot feel anything but pride for the good and decent performance of our team. Our team appeared well prepared in a very difficult match against the pioneer AEK, which managed to prevail 1-0. The result leaves us with a feeling of bitterness since AEK managed to take with a penalty which was given in her favour during the 63'.
Krachunov and Zelaya, we boosted the pace of the game and came very close to scoring with two classic opportunities. But Minho, deprived our team of a draw point with two crucial saves against the shots of Kyprianou and Papageorgiou.
One of the positives that we keep from the match against AEK is the participation of young Papageorgiou who comes from our academies and made the best impression. Despite the negative result, we also keep that all our players gave their best and stood their ground in yet again another game. One of the negative outcomes of the game are the yellow cards to Krachunov and Kipiani, who collected four and cannot participate in the next game.
The defeat undoubtedly leaves us with a feeling of disappointment, but will in no way stop us.
Our attention now turns to the game against AEL Limassol in our home, where out team has proved to be very difficult to beat. The game is scheduled for next Thursday and the team will pursue a victory, as it has always done with every other game.
